A FACILITATED LEARNING CIRCLE · PLANNING GUIDE

Gather a few people. Make room to return.

Use this protocol with people you know and a willing facilitator. This is a guide for a locally arranged pilot, not a scheduled MRIA cohort or enrollment service.

  1. Agree the conditions

Name a facilitator and a shared question. Ask about access, language, time, and the choice to pass or leave. Decide whether any notes are needed, who holds them, and when they will be deleted. Do not record by default.

  2. Hear before interpreting

Offer each person a way to describe their experience in their own words. Separate observations, interpretations, and open questions. Nobody speaks for an entire community.

  3. Choose one embodied event

Agree on one small action, its participants, place, responsibilities, and a way to stop. Participation and disclosure remain voluntary.

  4. Return, review, and correct

Ask what helped, what cost was hidden, and what should change. Let participants review any account before it is shared. Agree attribution or anonymity, the intended audience, and how to correct or withdraw it. Nothing is automatically published here.
